    I have a Sony HDV 1080i camera with firewire/HDMI outputs
    I need to connect it to a PC over 50-100ft distance.

    Can anyone provide advice on the hardware to use on both the camera end and the PC end?
    Is SDI cable better over long distances?

    I have tried 50ft HDMI to a Blackmagic intensity pro but the picture quality was a little grainy.

    I have tried 3 cables with little difference. Even with signal boosters.
