I am trying to import a .flv file on my hard drive that has been downloaded and ended up in the VLC player into Corel Video Studio X5 Pro Ultimate. This file plays OK through the VLC player.
Video Studio does not support .flv but does support AVI, Quicktime and mpg 2 amongst others.
I have attempted to use Riva .flv encoder,
    http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3
which is freeware and it’s based on the FFMPEG encoder (normally it is used to create .flv files from .avi or .mpg, but it can do the reverse too).
Hovever, I get a message saying that there is an unsupported video codec or parameter.
Can any one please help with this info or advise me on another easy way to get this .flv file into
    Video Studio.

  2. TMPGEnc will allow you to convert flv.
