Hi. I want to design a 16:9 menu in DLP and have it display pan & scan on a 4:3 TV. The I choose these options in Project Properties (Menu Aspect: 16:9 Widescreen ..... Widescreen Menu Display on 4:3 : Pan & Scan). Tested on two LG DVD Players plugged on a 4:3 TV. The first one displays it ok pan & scan, but the other player (LG Recorder) wouldn´t do a pan & scan at all. It squeezes the image to fit on the screen. But when it plays a commercial DVD, it displays the pan & scan correctly!

BTW Both players are set to 4:3 TV.

    Thanks in advance.

it doesn't have anything to do with dvdlab, it's up to the device to do the pan and scan. all dlp does is set the flag in the ifos.
