    I have a few MOV clips and I'd like to remove the audio without re-encoding the video.

    I have SolveigMM AVI trimmer and it does it perfectly for AVI files but doesn't work on MOV files.

    I've tried a couple of other programs but they re-encode and reduce the quality of the video.

    Searches here and on Google haven't been any help.

    Any suggestions?

    ffmpeg should do the trick ( or at least I hope so )
    <COMMAND-PROMPT>

    ffmpeg -i path-to\input.mov -an -vcodec copy path-to\output.mov

    </COMMAND-PROMPT>

    since mov is just the container it's hard to know what's in it. try using mediainfo in test mode and paste the results here.

  5. quicktime pro , ffmpeg can do it as suggested by el huggunte above

    if you're not adverse to changing to container to mp4, something like mp4box (yamb is the gui) can do it too

    you might be able to do it with mpegstreamclip (but it relies on quicktime, not sure if the non pro version will work)

    Thank you poisondeathray, aedipuss and El Heggunte,

    I tried ffmpeg and updated to Quicktime Pro and both worked well. However, I do like Quicktime Pro better because of the interface. I always seem to screw up a command line interface by leaving out a space or a dash.

    Thank you again for all your help. This will make my final video much better!
