    someone has asked me to set a dvd to region that will play all around the world (region O they say)

    is that true or even possible??

    in any case my dvd authoring software (tmpgenc authoring works 4) only gives me option of pal or ntsc to my knowedge)

    Good question. The person who asked it is a little stupid though. DVD authoring programs available to consumers like you cannot set regions. There is one program you can find that actually does allow you to set regions, but I can't remember what it is. Maybe it was IFOEdit or DVDShrink. I do remember that you had to deliberately tell it to use a specific region or it defaulted to 0. So anything you make yourself will always default to region 0. The person asking this of you should have known that. You have to pay commercial DVD stamping plants if you want region coding.
