Hello
Im having trouble hardcoding an MKV file with SSA subs using Handbrake. After not much luck i found these instructions on the internet http://www.ehow.com/how_12164938_hardcode-subtitles-mkv.html and I become stuck at point 5 which says " Click the "Subtitles" tab in the middle of the screen and press the "Add External Subtitle" button to open another pop-up search window. Navigate to your input subtitle file, highlight its icon and click "Open."
After clicking on the "subtitles" tab im offered an tab that says "Add" not " Add External Subtitle". Without being pedantic i assume this is the tab that is meant but after i click on that tab it doesnt open up another pop up search window. Instead it just populates one line beginning with "Foreign Audio search Bitmap", but doesnt offer me anything where i can navigate to my input subtitle file. Im not sure what or if im doing wrong but any help would be much appraciated.

Load the mkv into mkvmerge and add the ssa file and save as a new mkv file, load the file into handbrake and in the subtitle tab where it says foreign audio search click on the arrow down and choose the ssa and then add it and click on the burned in option.
If the file already has the ssa merged with the mkv then you dont need to use mkvmerge.I think, therefore i am a hamster.
