I've been given a dvd - I don't know what has burnt it but it plays on my old dvd players - but when I try to copy it using ConvertXToDvd, or DVDFab or DVDConverterUltimate none of them recognise the dvd? Please help...

Or just try making an image with IMGBURN, then burn the image to a new disk.

If it's a burned disk, there shouldn't be any copy protection .

It may not be DVD format. "old dvd players" could include those that supported Divx/Xvid. Such support has been out for 5-6 years now. Put the disc in a PC and let us know if you have AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders or not. If not, then give us the names of the files on the disc.
