I've finally gotten my workflow organized for working with these AVCHD MTS files. However, this merging of the MTS files when they exceed the filesize limit for a single file is a major time sucker! I'm currently using MTSMerger. Is there another program that will accomplish the merging faster? This is such a royal pain in the @ss.

If your computer specs are correct, the "file size limit" you talk about is actually likely a FAT32 issue rather than an AVCHD issue. I'm not aware of any file size limits for AVCHD. I don't claim to be an AVCHD expert, but for testing purposes I have used tsmuxer to create an AVCHD disc of about 23-24 GB in size. Last edited by jman98; 18th Oct 2012 at 08:38. Reason: typo

The file size limit is imposed I guess by recording on the SDXC memory card. It appears to be a 2GB, or 11 and a half minutes at the highest quality. I discovered that Sony Vegas's Device Explorer will import and merge the files at the same time which is nice, but I think I also discovered a bug with it regarding the timestamp/filename of the files it creates so I'm trying to figure that one out now........
