Bast way to rip (encode) like ESiR ?

I'm huge fan of ESiR encode group, and i would like to rip some of blu ray movies. But how? I have some questions

1) How to choice best riper of encoder (mkvmerge GUI is awesome for mkv and choicing what you want to demux or muxing...Handbrake is cool too, but too much time, and problem to create .ass subtitle

2) How to create .ass subtitle, or like ESiR when you watching the movie, subtitle is bold, brighter, have shadows and other font

Please, help me

1. Too much time? If you want good quality you must use high quality settings which takes time. And you might want to use ripbot264 or megui.

2. Extract the subs to text with for example BDSup2Sub and then make custom ass subtitles with aegisub.

in attachment is my profile for x264 encoding for MeGUI, it can be used for any video content ......

you will get very nice quality with setting bitrate to Quality factor Bits/(Pixel*Frame) of -> 0.170, for anime -> 0.130 is fine

you have to remove this --sar 6:5 from Custom Command Line in MeGUI x264 options, because it is set for anamorphic video encoding

( x264_dp_ my2.xml - have to be placed here - \megui\allprofiles\x264)

MeGUI is awesome, i create some good sample videos from movies, from 1080p to 720p 90% same quality but must wait 1 hour

I'm not a subs expert, but you can set a style at the beginning and everything following will use the same

So you have to select the font, and adjust the other characteristics, like font, color, bold, etc...

im on the 600/1413 text subtitle, and im work fine
