u have to open a command prompt, go into the directory of the film,
then type
del *.*
Everything in the folder will go so make sure u move neything u want out to anouther folder -
Thanks Greg12 but why can't I just archive my movies in WinXp. Why does it do that only with .avi files?

Hi all,
Just happened to me this morning. I couldn't delete any AVI file on XP.
Then I recalled that last night i was frameserving from Virtual Dubb to LSX and I had proxyreg ON. I ran proxyregoff, restarted my computer, and everything is OK. I can delete AVI files again. -
you didn't ask about archiving, if you want to archive something, you wouldn't delete it.
Burn it to a CD or something.
