I have a creative 128PCI soundcard.
I unchecked the "check videosignal while recording" in the extended settings.
It helped and I now get about 2 dropped frames with 44KHz and none with 22KHz.
I don't get any drops when I don't record audio !
It also seem that I get more dropped frames when recording from a tape than from the video-tuner ?
If I rewind the tape while recording it goes bananas.
If the source of my trouble is my soundcard what is the best card to get ?(I can't find any ensoniq card)

I have posted another message under DC10+ frames lost covering this same issue. My machine is a little higher spec'd and I lose 2 frames per minute, higher with higher resolutions.
The common factors appear to be the CUSL2-C and even though my sound card is the SB Live, it is probably not that much different.
I found that if I use my ASUS V7700 GTS Deluxe for capture I do not lose any frames at all which seems to indicate somnething with the DC10+ or the combination with the sound card.
I am still searching for a solution. Hopefully someone has come up with one.
