What other good programs are there for merging .AVI files, other than the VirtualDub[Mod]?
VirtualDub is too strict and doesn't allow to join a lot of types of avi files.

I'm using WinFF to join avis and I now have to select a Preset out of a whole bunch of presets.
Which preset should I choose if I want it to be like in VirtualDub when you pick "Direct Stream Copy" - the resulting file size and video quality remains the same.

So yeah, I ended up using avidemux and it was superfast (like under 10 seconds fast! to join a gig of avis) and exactly what I needed!

So no more impossible joinings like it was with the VirtualDub!

If you have a video editor you can simply use that, i.e., VideoStudio, Vegas, etc.
