So MakeMKV not working at all anymore. Need help! Just grabbed American Psycho and The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and when I go to rip them it keeps telling me the trial is up but I can still use all its functions....weird because I just installed the latest version after it had previously expired...anyways it gives me errors in the message box/log/text area saying Failed to open disc and shareware unavailable...somewhat frustrating. I know the version before this freaked out because MakeMKV's website was down for 3 days and it started counting how many days I had left backwards or something weird like that....anyways I have two screenshots I took to make this diagnoses easier...really just wanna get these ripped proper (I prefer using my MacBook at times). Right now I have The Hunger Games on my FW800 drive and American Psycho is still on the BD disc.
FYI: I noticed someone in a thread below me had trouble with ripping The Hunger Games specifically but I should add I can't rip ANYTHING. Even tried discs I've ripped before!
Any advice is greatly appreciated! You guys are great here.

MakeMKV is freeware for DVD usage as per the developer's licensing. For Blu-ray decryption+ripping usage the program is in beta and trialware. The developer offers free expiring public registration keys for the Blu-ray usage while the software is in beta but that won't last forever. Whenever the public key expires you need to go to the forums to get the new one. There will come a time when you have to buy a registration because the beta period won't last forever and, frankly, the software is worth the cost.

@Noahtuck
That was when the thread started. As I said I'm willing to bet that a new key will be placed there within 48 hours. At the bottom it
says that that key is valid until the end of September 2014. New beta keys are posted there every 2 to 3 months to start a new
beta period. According to my calendar it is the end of September 2014. -

Actually, I think Noahtuck was referring to my post, above, which was from October 8, 2012. The MakeMKV beta key post I linked to is dated from March 4, 2010.

Riiiiight, and Mike's post was posted 4 years ago. So I guess you were just as much an idiot then as Arthur_Ballsack is now
