  1. Does anyone know how to specify the subtitle path in MPC-HC?

In "Options > Subtitles > Misc," there's a field called "Autoload paths" where I can customize the subtitle path. However, I can't figure out how to get it to work.

This is what I'm trying to do:

    - Have my video at D:\videos\video.mkv
    - Have my subtitles at D:\subtitles\subtitle.ass

Right now, the default path for MPC-HC is ".;.\subtitles;.\subs", so it only loads from D:\videos, D:\videos\subtitles and D:\videos\subs.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Zeroaqueduct,
Not sure I know what you are asking but If you have a subtitle file you want to use, load the video, hit stop and a subtitle load selection can be made as below.

Otherwise, if you have Directvobsub installed, MPC will automatically pick up subtitle file if its in same foler with the same name as video (e.g. video.avi & video.ssa). I may have mistaken what you are asking but I saw noone answered in a few days so I gave it a shot.
    Thanks

    Zeroaqueduct,
Just tried it on mine and the video picks it up if file name is the same as video. But the designation .\subtitles is an old dos designation.
The "." means "here" so it actually means go from the video directory (here) to the subtitle directory underneath. Since you want the setup to be:

    video at D:\videos\video.mkv
    subtitles at D:\subtitles\subtitle.ass

Then you probably need a directory at D:\videos\subtitles or use the ".." designation that means back up one level (D:\) and then go to its subtitle directory. (like ..\subtitles NOT .\subtitles).

Just tried it on mine and it works but as I said I have directvobsub installed and the ssa file is the same name as the video.

    Hope that helps

  4. Thanks for the reply! It worked for me.

I have both MPC-HC and CCCP installed, so that was why changing the subtitle paths in MPC-HC didn't work. CCCP has their own subtitle paths (via DirectVobSub) defined, so it overrode the subtitle paths in MPC-HC. I changed the subtitle paths using "VSFilter Configuration" in the CCCP folder instead and it worked perfectly!
