    Try ut video codec , it's well multithreaded , faster than huffyuv or x264lossless (any setting)

    Capture in 4:2:2 (uly2 for UT) to prevent the chroma issues

    If you have another drive, try capturing to the other HDD (capturing to OS drive is ill advised)

    Don't do other things when you are capturing (surf, virus scan, etc...)
    ok, I'll be sure to try it once I get some tests done with the huffyuv. because reading the authors site, my computer should be able to handle it without a problem.

  2. Did you notice sync issues before when capturing with x264 lossless ? or were you not checking for that?

    no, I didn't have any sync issues with x264 as long as I used the faster setting in the preset option, and had zero latency checked.
    that was the main reason I was using it was because most other encoders had either a lot of frame drops, or audio issues had arisen.

    @jagabo
    I changed the timing settings, and in a 3min time frame the audio was fine. so hopefully I have that settled.
    now Im gonna try the avisynth script and see how well it does with this video, which is entirely interlaced.

    ok, so yea, the avisynth, it's amazing! wish I knew about it sooner. alright, everything is looking great. I'll continue to use the avisynth plugins. Thank's to everyone who helped.
