I have a movie burned to a verbatim +R dvd a while ago that freezes at the 30 min mark, near the end of chapter 8 of 21 (2 hour movie). the rest of the movie & all the extras play fine. (I can fast forward/skip past the freeze).

noticing a smudge on the disk, I figured I'll try recopying it so I copy to the computer (where it plays fine, of course) & then burn to a verbatim+RW which proceeds to freeze in exactly the same spot when played on my dvd player ( a toshiba).

this leads me to believe theres a problem with a vob or something & I'm wondering if it can be fixed with editing software of some kind?
