There are some tv show's i'd like to have the sound to, to listen to on my vacation.
What is the best way to capture only the audio from these episodes and what is the best mp3 encoder. (Lame doesn't seem to play on my handheld MP3-CD player). Lame has about 65% playback.
Morphix WILL NOT play, nothing done by that encoder will play.
I have to do this through the line in of my Ess Mastero sound card.

If you can hear it, then you can capture it...
www.goldwave.com set capture length to length of movie. -
now I have some more questions.
1.) What volume settings should I use on the playing unit?
2.) What level should I set the line in volume to
3.) I also have a Dazzle DVC-80 that is useless for Video capture, but could I capture audio with it. -
You should always use Lame to encode mp3. If your player can't handle it (most likely it can't handle VBR) then your player is wrong and you should take it back or get a new one.
If you encode using CBR then it will probably work on your player. It just means your files will be bigger (or lower quality, if you want to keep a low file size).
