  1. So I've been trying to upload a video in a video hosting service called nico nico douga, a japanese website. The problem is as a free user I am restricted to reducing bitrate and file size to 600kbps and 40mb respectively. So I've been trying to encode this 1min45sec video with xmedia recode but it still keeps going to 3000 kbps bitrate. I want to reduce it to those settings without suffering too much on quality, please help me with this!

  2. In XMedia you may change the bitrate on the Video and Audio tab respectively. And with a 600 kbps limit you migth want to change the resolution on the Filters/Preview tab in order to get as good a quality as possible.

  3. Thanks for the reply, but it just keeps changing! Please tell me how can I force it to be a constant bit rate at 600kbps or a bit closer to it, I'm not really familiar with other terminologies so please bear with me

Is the program assuming you want to write to a CD ... ie. a 700Mb or so file?
