Not thrilled with the Lacie Lacinema...other suggestions

Sorry for re-posting a similar topic about the AVI files that the Canopus unit puts out not being able to play on Lancienema Classic. I understand about the DV codec that those AVI files have included and why they won't play.

As many reviewers have stated I really don't like the Lacie unit anyway.....the remote control is horrible and there is no reason to offer such sub standard playback features and not offer a full functioning decent sized remote control.

Any suggestions about another HD media player. My friend says the Argusy is great and has one. It plays anything and has a full function remote. But it seems to be off the market. Perhaps it's too open sourced and the media giants don't want consumers to have these things.

Anyone have any other suggestions, like one of the units made by Micca?
