    I have this mp4 file (AVC/AAC) which I can see via MediaInfo has chapters stored in it. Upon conversion to XviD for watching on TV, is it possible to keep and store these chapter points, or is that not supported in XviD?

    Chapter have nothing to with the video codec, they are part of the container, so as long as you use a container, that supports chapters, you can keep the chapters,...
