  1. I have uploaded some SVCD examples to my web site to give you example files so you can see the difference in my 3 types of SVCD templates. These small files also give you the opportunity to test the two compliant formats on your standalone DVD player. You can even try the non-compliant format and see if your DVD player will accept it.

All files were captured using MMC 7.6 -- the quality of my video in isn't that great but it will give you an idea of what the templates produce.

    1- SVCD Standard
2- X-Rez - my variation on the SVCD Standard (slightly higher resolution)
3- Hyper-SVCD - my simulated SVCD format - good for slow computers

All three SVCD profiles were setup up with...
    __100% CPU Load
    __Horizontal ME at 256
    __Vertical ME at 128
    __a bitrate of 2.3 (2300000)
__MMC Noise Reduction Set To 255 (I have a horrible signal for input)
    __NTSC Format

have a look if your an ATI MMC 7.5 or 7.6 user - the address is in my signature
    your pal,
    Stinky

  2. One request - if someone has a better video-in signal and a faster machine than I do (which I figure most everone does) and you have a moment if you could capture a 4 second mpeg using the X-Rez template I would apreciate it. My computer just isnt strong enough to do that template justice.

Also if you test these files on your standalone DVD player (test all 3) if you could drop me an email and let me know how it worked out - that way I could compile a list of compatible players for these format.
