  1. I am hoping someone can help me. I attempted to install the TV-Wonder (pci NTSC) card in my pc (Win XP pro, AMD K7, 256 ram, Geoforce 2 32mb video). I made the mistake of installing the card and booting up before installing the new drivers from ati. The damn thing just wont install at all. It rejects all drivers old and new. I looked on ati's website and one of the things it mentions is to remove the device in device manager after setting up the new drivers in the tvwonder directory and then rebooting. Unfortunately, I can't remove it in device manager. I physically uninstalled the card, powered up, then powered down, installed the card again, then booted up. It still will not install correctly. Anyone have any ideas?

  2. it cant really 'reject' drivers even if a card is not present. you can install drivers for hardware not yet installed.

make sure you have not installed any tweaked btx drivers or wrappers
make sure you are installing mmc71 from ati website and you run the setup in the drivers dir then reboot.

if you really can't manage it - i can install it via remote desktop if you pop me a email with a meeting time (mountain time zone, same as this board) and a irc channel (efnet/dalnet). i have the same card running in XP pro.

  3. Have you tried to remove the card, bootup, remove the drivers, remove registry entries (w/ regcleaner). Shutdown. install card, bootup and install as normal.
    When all else fails
