So, I've set up a video wall of 3x3 (9 in total) fullHD LED TV's.

These are the specs of the computer running all the screens:

1 STK 752104 Samsung SSD 830 Series 128GB 2.5"

So, what I now need help with is how to decode movies for these screens..

What resolution would be test to use for this? (and what can this machine handle?)
Bitrate? And codec? Never done this before, so I wanted to know if anyone here had any information regarding this setup.

We want to show different movies on each screen, and then flash them all and play one big movie across them all.
I would think the easiest way to do this is to just make it all in one movie (comp all the 9 movies together in a grid, and then play this move across all screens).

Because of the graphicscards I'm using, I can only combine 3 and 3 monitors in one displaygroup. Using VLC, I can then split the movie into 3 pieces (three 3x1 pieces) and fullscreen them on each of these 3 displaygroups. This is working, but a bit laggy? (any settups I should look at? Or maybe another video player would be better? One that buffers the video or something? This is all going to happen locally btw..)
