    after I capture I play back my .avi...I get a blue screen with a short strip of video on the top...whats up with that?

    try this

    go to capture a video
    go to video/format - select 320*240, YUY2 press OK
    go to video/set custom format - select 352*240, YUY2 4:2:2 interleaved press OK
    try a capture with huffyuv.

    sub with PAL video formats if PAL
