    had cheap avayon dvd player played all my disc that were xvid video and pcm audio 32bits. just bought the fairly expensive toshiba it will Not play audio on any of those avi's. i tried converting audio that was 32 bit pcm to pcm 48 bit and 96bits and stillno audio. i t does play when in mp3 format.

    i am senior citiZen and all this is frustrating me. can someone help??

    Most DVD players that support playing of AVI videos usually only support MP3 audio in those AVIs. You'll have to convert the PCM audio to MP3.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    All I can say is that I've NEVER heard of any AVI files with audio above 16 bits. 32 bit audio is still kind of bleeding edge and I am wondering if you are misunderstanding what you have. The more bits you convert the audio to, the less likely it is to play.
