  1. There used to be a site called Zamzar, but now it has been disabled at the request for Youtube.
    So I am looking for a on-line site, where you just paste in the Youtube URL, and the on-line site will download and send you the video. This kind of Youtube downloading is useful if you are at a public computer and cannot install anything, and maybe the public computer doesn't have java or net framework, or some other required software that some Youtube downloaders require.

  3. keepvid is a no go for 2 reasons. Requires downloading software and requires net framework.

    Another no-go (for you, of course): the old workaround of copying-n-pasting the HTML-code of the YouTube page is no longer used, so we have to depend on the Java applet method...

    Anyway, we need ONLY ONE Java Runtime Environment.

    OTOH, the gayzist devilopers keep on pushing as many versions of the dotNET thing as possible.
