    Hi,
I have a video clip that is out of synch. The video file is 1hr 1min 37 seconds and the audio file is 1 hr 1min 20 seconds.
Is it possible to stretch the audio file with 17 seconds ?
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, of course. You can use Audacity or just about any WAV editor. But are you sure the problem isn't that you just need to set a correct delay? It's not unheard of for audio to be shorter than video and also to be in-synch.

Of course, if the audio gets more and more out-of-synch as the video goes along, then you have to stretch the audio.

    Hi manono,
I have been fiddling around with Audacity but just couldn't get it to stretch by 17 seconds.
Any tips would be much appreciated.

  4. Open the WAV file in Audacity. Go Effect->Change Tempo (which changes tempo without changing the pitch). At the bottom, 'Length (seconds) from (original) to (original+17 seconds)'. You can also do it by percentage change.
