I'm looking for an inexpensive (around $100) media player that will connect via hdmi and has internal hard drive space of 750GB to 1TB. Most of my files are divx/xvid .avi/.divx and a few h264 /mp4's. I don't want to stream. Thanks

The cost is not prohibitive, but the hard drive requirement is. 1 TB drives currently are priced around $90 so expecting to pay $10 more for the media player itself is unrealistic. If you wish to make your requirements more in line with reality you can check out the Western Digital WD TV Live Hub.
Nobody makes what you are looking for at that price. You'll likely have to wait 3+ years to get what you want at that price. -
Within your budget try to look at Aios HD Media Center or Sony SNP-n100(n200), rich functionality, good performance.

I ended up getting a LG ST600. I looked at the Sony N200 but I figured it would have Cinavia sooner or later like the PS3. The Lg was $47 on Amazon and I had a $50 gift card so I got if for free pretty much. The LG doesn't have a Hard Drive but has a USB port if I want to add one in the future.
