Yes. It plays my Canon 60D 720p files smoothly(which Lightworks can't). For now you can import video and mlt xlm files, preview, make one trim and export. Of all the attempts of coding a free cross platform NLE this one is very promising because of Dan's long experience and dedication. There is still a long way to go, but since he is the coder of MLT(backbone of Kdenlive and Openshot), I guess it is mostly gui programming - which may progress fast.
