  1. I had to remove Adobe Flash, and now RTMP won't work on sites as CBS.com, which tells me I need to install Flash 9.0. I have the latest version of flash installed, shouldn't it work this is frustrating.

You'll get better advice if you say what browser (+version) you're using.

Are you using any other browser plugins; ad blocking, etc?

It seems odd that you're only having problems with RTMP streams... AIUI, youtube doesn't stream videos using RTMP - so do YT vids play ok?

I can load the site in FireFox 15 (Beta 2), but RTMP CBS.com just gives me a error that I need to install Flash 9.

What do you mean by "RTMP CBS.com"?

Do you mean a program like RTMPDump or similar?

I haven't used that program so someone else will have to give some specific suggestions.

Maybe the version of RTMP Explorer has been designed to work with a particular version of Flash. You could try downloading the latest version of the program and see if it supports Flash 10.

PowerFalcon, RTMPExplorer uses IE for browsing webpages! if you have removed adobe flash plugin of IE, its no problem! but keep adobe flash plugin of FireFox! Then you can use FireFox with RTMPdump helper and download rtmp streams!

  10. Dear Forum (especially member Bahman, seems you're quite into this streaming stuff )

The guys over at CBS.com definitely changed something in the backend because since a few days I'm
not able to capture TV Shows anymore (with applian Replay Media Catcher).

Can you please confirm that 'RTMPExplorer' works on CBS as of today? This would be very helpful ...

    Best regards

  12. thanks for the quick reply ...

in the meantime, btw, i learned more:

    2 (different) RTMPDump win32 builds
    https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/downloads
    https://www.videohelp.com/download/rtmpdump-v2.4-35-ge0056c5-master.7z

    2 gui
    RTMPExplorer
    rtmpdumphelper (nir sofer)

at the moment i cannot test the actual d/l but i want to capture episodes 'the bold and the beautiful'
    from the cbs.com site.

it would be great if you could confirm one configuration under which one specific episode from
'the bold and the beautiful' (let's say e.g the one from last thursday) can be completely captured
    (100% = approx. 20 minutes per episode).

    thanks

They uses the same service for streaming this show too! So, there is no difference!
Also, I recommend you to use this build: https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/downloads

  14. fyi:

nir sofer tool + rtmpsuck (K-S-V build) + ie9 = does not work (rtmpsuck error message)
nir sofer tool + rtmpsrv (K-S-V build) + ie9 = does not work (rtmpsrv error message)

    RTMPExplorer + rtmpsrv (K-S-V build) = works!
    Bahman, thanks for your testing.

  15. I have encountered another RTMP problem. When I try to download a show from CBS.com, I put the address of the video file into the address bar and explorer won't load the page I only get the error to 'refresh the page' ? I've tried numerous times, resetting the PC etc, it was working a few days ago. I even download RTMP explorer again, hoping a new download may fix something, even if minor, not the case
