 I have bought a Dazzle DVC II and have tried desperately for the last three days to get it working to no avail. I have spent atleast 2 hours on the phone with their tech support and still no luck. At most I get a very bad still image when I start up Movie Star then my system completely locks up. You must do a hard reset of the computer to recover, the task manager will not even come up.
Here is a description of my system: HP Pavilion 7955, Pentium 4, 1.5 GHz, NVIDIA OEM video card, 256 MB RAM, 40 GB Hard drive, CD W/R, DVD, Windows XP.
Things we have tried: reduced graphics acceleration, verified IRQ is only shared with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System (Dazzle Tech support told me this is the only acceptable shared IRQ), switched PCI slots in computer, reseated U3 socketed ic, upgraded my HP bios to latest version.
When I looked into this device before I bought it on this web site and others most of the comments I heard were quite positive. I really want to be able to use this device if at all possible. If anyone has a similar system can you tell me if it works for you, how you got it working, or any other words of wisdom. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
