  1. Hi,

I captured a TV show tonight and unfortunately one audio lead was unplugged, so I only have audio on the left channel. It was captured with a Provideo PV233 so the mpeg is already vcd compliant.

As the TV show was quite old the audio would have been mono so I need to convert the audio so what is encoded on the left channel is re-encoded onto both channels.

Any ideas how to do it - idiots guide please!!

    thanks

    Alan

  2. I'd probably make a wav file (with Virtual Dub, TMPGenc or whatever tool you have that can make a wav file from your video) then open it in a sound editor. Save it as mono, then save it as stereo, and you'll have both channels identical.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
