  1. This question gets asked a lot, but I have never really found a good answer.

I am looking to either extract a section of a VOB, or edit a ripped VOB. I plan to burn the smaller VOBs onto a mini DVD. Since I need to find a specific scene within a VOB, I am not able to accomplish this task with VOB Splitter.

Also, I do not want to re-encode the MPEG file/VOB, since the factory encoding is likely to be much better than anything I would do.

    Thanks

  3. Thank you.

Smartripper does allow one to extract a particular chapter.

But I should clarify question. I am looking to extract or edit a section within a chapter. So I will need some sort of application that lets one see the starting and ending frames.

  4. DVD2AVI springs to mind, try that... You should be able to load one vob and extract a particular scene, then encode it with Tmpgenc (latest version) the DVD templates are not bad (yes i know you didn't want to recode, but the results should be ok ).

    Hey my 100th post!!!
