Right, trying out this forum as the one i tried before was VERY helpful....
I am attempting to record games through my computer in two ways, the first is my TV card which is my first problem and recording PC games is my second.
First Problem:
I have a probably rather generic card (SAA7130) and while it records most things flawlessly when it comes to transfering vhs tapes to dvd (why buy new copies if I have the tech, right?) I have wanted to record commentary as I am playing, I have toyed with post commentary but I can't do that. The major problem is that my tv card software captures its audio through the Line-In port on my soundcard which seems to share the mic port for some reason. I do have HD audio but I have always had a problem with this since I got the computer so instead disabled it through bios and went with a soundblaster Live card (SBLive d800) for recording with. I can enable Line-in but can't record audio commentary at the same time. Is there a way to do this without messing around too much?
The second problem is similar to another post on here that I read, whereby I am trying to record game audio, my commentary and a skype call, I have Bandicam installed to capture the game and its audio and a skype recorder to record the call, it however only recorded MY voice and the other person in the call was seriously quite. this is probably not much of a problem and can be sorted out if other things were not going on at the same time. When i use what you hear in bandicam it sends its audio through skype, which is something I am not sure should happen. I also cannot seem to us bandicams settings for a secondary audio source, which should allow me to set the mic. when i do it changes the primary (so when i have what u hear for primary and set mic on secondary it changes the primary to mic as well and vice versa) is there a solution to this as I have many projects resting on this working well.
I had a thought that I could re-activate my hd audio through bios and possibly use that as an alteranative source? would there be incompatabilites etc in doing this?
thanks for you help!
Please note the following (Due to other responces):
I am not willing to get Fraps and Sony Vegas Pro, as one responce sugested I have a capturing software and an editor which suits my needs.
I can not use another computer to achieve my goals as I have no funds to do so, and no room to place another computer.
sorry for the notes but these are pretty much my only responces to these questions so far and wish to make it clear from the first post.
thanks again,
John

I hope you understand that getting a useful response may depend upon whether or not someone who has successfully used the same software to record multiple audio sources at the same time sees your post. You will need to be patient. There are relatively few Video Help members who might fall into that category, and they may or may not come here often. Most of this forum's membership is not primarily interested in recording video games. The bandicam.com forum may be a better place to find an answer
