  1. Hello.

I'm a recent user of PotPlayer and I'm aware that the built-in automatic updater will install the Korean language version.
I decided to use VideoHelp as my choice for downloading the English version updates and subscribed to e-mail alerts.
I have a couple of questions though:
1 Can we safely install over the previous version or should we uninstall/install?
2 I noticed in the Download old versions section that some installers are named Upd.EXE and are about half the size of the .EXE ones. What is the difference?

    Kind regards.

    1. Yes.
    2. They are beta versions (beta updates).

The newest version isn't beta ... I generally avoid betas but I had the last beta version.

unfortunately in the newest version you can't skip back to the last bookmark, which was the only reason I ever used potplayer over smplayer or vlc. Too bad.

I think that usually new version will revert all settings to default!

That is why I always backup settings (F5 > Preferences > Export Preferences) and than apply them after update.
