Is it possible to access a Blu-ray menu without fully accessing the Blu-ray?

Are you looking for something that can edit an existing BluRay menu kind of like IFOEdit does for DVDs or do you mean something else?

    Me too.

Before I convert my BRs to MKV [and I convert them all] I stick the disk in my PS3 just to see the menu so I can see whats on the disk.

Last time I actually watched one of my BR disks was over a year ago.

Oh, and it needs to be free.

I am willing to buy a program that can accurately read the menu.

    Fully?

TotalMedia Theatre supports blu-ray menus from a BDMV folder on your HDD. I haven't seen any free blu-ray software with complete menu support.

If I install the trial for TotalMedia Theatre 5 will it activate a kill switch in my Blu-ray drive or mess with my computer in other ways?

Wow this program can read even the most challenging Blu-rays! Until now no program has been able to read Ong Bak 2.
