    I am in serch of a means by which i can control a sony broadcast vtr.
    That is , I wish to have the ability to : Play , stop , FF , rwd .
    And I want to be able to do this from a linux machine.
    There are sony vtr 'gadgets' ( software ) that run on windows but i wish for a linux means.

    All i need to do is move the tape .
