    What went wrong here?
Capture VHS to MPEG2 with PCM audio.
Load the file to GoldWave to increase the audio.
    Save as PCM wave.
Load MPEG file into AviDemux, add "new audio" as the main audio source.

....just like I've done thousands of times before....only this time
when I do my editing only the video is cut....the audio does not cut and
becomes completely out of sync, not even CLOSE.

I don't recall mucking with any settings.....what the hell went wrong?
    Any Ideas?

So it's an audio issue. No?

Maybe sample rate? Audio should be 44k 16bit. I think. That's one of the problems I have with the free tools, some of them have no response to "small crashes".

    Did you try again?

Oh, I get it, you chose "copy" for the audio, right? Or PCM?

My avatar has balloons now, hahaha, what a hoot. No wait a minute, it was a hoot, yeah? Hahaha.

I think my neighbors are smoking "catshit" again! Everytime they do that, I start craving two hotdogs with chili. Hahahaha.

I uninstalled and re-installed AviDemux but haven't had time to try again.....I will soon.
I do believe my audio is 48,000 so that may be the problem. I'll reply soon.
    Thank You for the reply.

According to the AviDemux forum....new audio is not timed/synced with the video. I SWEAR I've done this before. I guess I'll have to remux before I edit. Thank goodness for large hard drives.
