I'm trying to play with some 5.1 audio from a blu-ray that I'm ripping but I keep on getting the audio in French instead of English. I don't know why french is the default but how can I fix it? I have a m2t file now with the 5.1 audio in french, I have heard of de muxing but I don't know how to use it or if it would help?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Try tsmuxer and disable the french audio in the m2ts file.

Ripping using Any DVD. So I downloaded the tsmuxer but I don't know how to use it. Do you put the source in the input folder, select demux, then press the demux button at the bottom?

If you have to ask how to use txMuxeR to demux then you might as well give up. You aren't up to the task of doing this ...

    Give up? Never.

Considering I just "guessed" how to use the software correctly without ever seeing it.

Plenty of other rips have worked without any problems. This one disc has been giving me problems. Demuxing the HD 5.1 audio tracks with tsmuxer gives me a track with no audio. The second 5.1 track gives me french only.

I'm all ears for any HELPFUL info.

I'm guessing the HD 5.1 is the English track and that your computer can't play HD audio (I know some hardware has trouble with Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD-MA).

When you demux the HD audio you have a choice of demuxing the "core" part of it which gives you a standard 5.1 audio track. I think txMuxeR calls this "downconvert". I'd try that.

Hey thanks, choosing to downconvert the HD 5.1 audio to AC3 worked beautifully. I now have the english 5.1 audio.

    Thanks for the Help!
