The SciFi channel has cancelled Eureka so now there's nothing to watch on the channel. I endured all the commercials and promo overlays during the show because Eureka was worth all the garbage. The channel once showed SiFi but now it's reality/wrestling/ghost shows. And let's not forget the painfully bad made-for-TV movies. Who owns the SciFi channel?????????????? I wish they would fold the channel and make the space available for anything else.

It makes you wonder how SyFy can exist, let alone thrive, on their brand of "reality" TV.
Not sure what it says about them, but what does it say about the viewer?
Looks like they're having the last laugh. -
Yep agree with the sentiment. They don't even show Star Trek TNG or Stargate reruns anymore.
The same is happening to the History Channel. Even though I like American Pickers its not exactly "history" when you think of something that is supposed to be more fully rounded. All the reality based shows on the History channel are pretty repetitive and dull. Pawn Stars is ok but not really "deep".
Thank god for H2 on channel 116/280 - or is it 260 for the comcast hd channel? Anyway at least that still shows Modern Marvels and The Universe. Plus it shows Serial Killer Earth on weather disasters. They also show the usual historical documentaries they used to show on the main channel.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
I have not watched anything on The SciFi channel lately either. I do get StarGate SG-! and Universe on regular broadcast TV.

I am saddened to see Eureka go, and still mad about the non-ending ending for SGU.
When Warehouse 13 leaves syfy, so do I. -
I totally argree on all three points. Right now the only thing keeping me watching Sci-fi is Doctor Who, Warehouse 13, althogh Alphas, and Haven are not bad they are not enough to keep me a fan of the channel. They are really gonna have to pull a rabit out of the hat to keep me.

Warehouse 13 is okay.
Alphas is passable.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I agree. I really liked Eureka and have all the episodes captured and encoded on DVDs. The flash (pop) ups irritate me no end. Why don't those count toward the number of minutes allowed for commercials. What movies they do run are re-re-runs.
Reality shows - I'm fed up with people running around with IR lights shining in their faces and screaming "what's that?", as if it adds tension and excitement. If I want to see glowing eyes all I have to do is shine a flash light at the bird feeder in the front yard at night. I only watch about three of their programs now. The only good thing is on our cable they have back episodes available on demand. These days I spend a lot of time on the Science Channel.
