I have few tutorial dvd / movies with NRG extention file.
Was wondering if I can convert it to Divx, Mkv or Avi
or can I also burn it direct?
The problem is, I dont feel like installing new / another program, so would be great if my existing program can do this.
This is some of the programs I have:
    • Vidcoder
    • Windows DVD maker
    • Corel Video Studio
    • Cyberlink Dvd Suite
    • Divx Plus converter
    • Free Studio Manager DVDVIDEOSOFT
    • ImToo DVD copy express
    • Iso Image Burner
    • Real Player Sp
    • Roxio Creator 2012
And if I want to just convert it, how can I see the original pixel size of the video files?

    Thanx

A nrg is an iso file/image of a dvd created with Nero.

You could extract the content from it with for example isobuster. Then use vidcoder and select the VIDEO_TS folder that you have extracted from the nrg and last convert to a mkv or mp4.

NRG is a Nero image, it's contents indeterminate until it's opened one way or another.
Nero can write it to a disk, or possibly a Virtual drive may be able to mount it.

I did try to convert it to Mkv using free studio manager.
It works, however... due to the video has 3 different video angle, the angle changes automatically and it changes so fast which I cannot control. I think it would be fine if the vidoe doesnt have option to change the angle though.

Dave, thanks, ill try to mount it with iso image burner and see if it works

    Thanx, ill try vidcoder then

    edit:
1st attempt failed, from 01.25.19, only 33 min completed (but it looks promising as I can choose the angle and the language that I wanted)

now im trying to do it again, if it fails then I guess i hv to break it down to smaller size, maybe 1 chapter at a time.

    Hi Baldrick,
I tried vidcoder and handbrake both cant complete the task.
Vidcoder says failed and when i play it only 33min played from 1.25.19
Handbrake also the same only able to convert 18min but it says completed
Do you think its possible to just explore the disc and get the video_ts & audio_ts files that I want? then maybe combine it with some programs?

On quite a few of these apps, opening the IFO related to the main title set, will include all the relevant VOB's.
