I use a safety razor, and old Gillette adjustable from the 60's, works like a charm.
I also use an older Gilette safety razor from the 70's, but that is an non adjustable.
Have 3 different shaving brushes, one with boar bristles and two with badger hair
And I use and alum block after shaving and I splash on some Tabac aftershave and I'm good to go
Razor blades, brushes and shaving soap/cream are easily obtained from ebay and other web shops
I would recommend taking a visit to the badger and blade forum, for reviews, buy, sell and trade of shaving gear -
I have my Grandfather's Gillete Razos, one adjustable, one Not, but I can't find them since we moved into our house (10 years some things are still packed
When I got back into traditional shaving I wanted to start using them again. Now I use a Parker 82R for every day shaving and a Merkur MR500 when I need a closer shave.
Badger and Blade is a great site!! Also for just starting out and over all tips Sharpologist http://sharpologist.com/ is good place to start.
