I am converting FLV with resolution of 1280x720, 23.976fps, 2,000kbps to MP4 with 960x540, 29.97fps and 3,000kbps. Is it bad conversion or the effect is negligible? Thanks.

    Why would you do this?

FLV and MP4 are containers - they don't necessarily say anything about the compression used

So it depends on the codec used, encoder used, setting used and source quality and content of the video

Why convert to 29.97fps? You're better off leaving the frame rate as it is.

  4. Wow good point - I missed the difference in frame rate. That would be very bad (It will play jerky assuming the source truly is 23.976)
