I posted my solution on one forum in my country and nobody said it doesn't work, yet, so I'll try with wider audience.

I see there are many threads asking for help with no sound after converting to DVD-Video format with WinAvi.
I had the same problem and after a few days of different tries, I fixed the problem and the solution works fine on my computer.
    I have WinAvi 9.0 installed.

These codecs are necessary for sure:
    Haali Media Splitter
    ffd show

I also have installed (not sure if necessary)
    CCCP Codec Pack

You may also need some other codecs for some conversions (like RealMedia codecs for converting from .rmvb)

    Here is my solution:

    1. Select "DVD" as Output Format.
    2. Click "Advanced" next to it.
    3. Make sure that in Audio Setting, "Enabled DirectAC3" is checked and "Encode Mode" is AC3.

    4. Go to "DShow Decoder" on left-side menu and select "Audio Decoder" options.
    5. Change used codec to "ffdshow" where possible, at least in "ac3".

    6. Click OK.
    7. DONE! Convert.

During conversion, I had ffdshow, Haali Media Splitter and VobSub codecs working for sure (had their icons on "start" bar).

Please let me know if it works for you.
Feel free to ask for additional details if you need any.

Hope it works for you all, too!

Nobody uses this software here. You are wasting your time and $50.

I am aware that there are many better programs.
Still, if I had some idea to fix this problem, I thought it would be nice to share it. Isn't it?

Maybe people who already paid this 50$ or just don't want to try other programs for some reason may have a good use of this solution.
