  3. This is a tough one...
My natural instinct is to snack on chips, Doritos mostly, and then popcorn, but a year ago at my Doctor's request I changed my diet and lost 40 pounds and brought all those nasty stupid numbers that doctors care about but normal people say WTF about way down without need of medication. I got praised by my doctor for my hard work and by my wife. So now I snack on nuts and fruit mostly, but I still have the occasional proper serving of chips (my previous interpretation of proper serving was one mid sized bag) maybe once a month now. I also enjoy no sugar added low fat ice cream (..yay...) once in a while, and seltzer over soda and diet soda when I drink it. Used to guzzle about 3 liters of regular cola a week.

    Making myself hungry now...

i'm in des's boat, doctor says i almost have this and almost have that. no drugs yet but he keeps threatening to put me on the road to chemical nirvana. better living through chemistry and all that. i choose not to, at least as long as i'm not dying...

I used to eat trail mix as a snack. Now, I make my own granola squares and keep them in the frig.

    50% rolled oats [2 cups
    2 eggs
    2 tablespoons of Cocoa powder
    and equal amounts of:
    Walnuts
    shredded coconut
    and raisins for sweetness.
Mix it all together and cook in an oven @ 250f for 1/2 hour.
then cut it in 1" squares.

Don't know how healthy it is but I like it well enough and I know it has no added sugar, salt or oil
and definitely nothing in it that I can't spell or pronounce.

Oh, almost forgot. 1/3 cup water to soften the oats.
