Hey everybody, I've been looking all over and struggling to find a solution, so i decided it was finally time to post about my problem.

I have a BenQ moniter and a Sony Bravia connected to my desktop. The monter is by dvi, the tv is by hdmi with a DVI converter at one end.

Now, my issue is that no matter what I do, whenever I enter a game on my computer, my tv display gets fuzzy and awful. When I'm just browsing the internet or watching a movie, though, the tv display looks perfectly fine. I've looked all over for solutions. It's set to full pixel, resolutions on both displays are the same (along with refresh rates). I'm just lost at this point, no idea what to do. The only time i was able to get a game to look nice was when i ran it full screen in windowed mode. I hope that information helps you in helping me

    Thanks in advanced, guys!

  2. Game use different than NATIVE resolution for Your display. Set in game exactly same resolution (or if this is to high select resolution that is lower than native but dividable by 2 ie if native for TV is 1920x1080 but Your graphic card is not able to produce decent frame rate use for example 1920x540 OR 960x1080 OR 960x540 - for other NATIVE resolutions use same rule - or go for CRT which is more flexible and superior for variable resolutions to any LCD or PDP)

My resolution in game is always set to the same thing as my native resolution, 1920x1080. That's the part that confuses me.

The only way i was able to get it to not be blurry was when i just played windowed mode with the window being 1920x1080, so it appeared to be fullscreen.

  4. So game not use 1920x1080 even if configured or game use rescaler that make picture blurry. Btw check also refresh rate - should be identical for game and Window mode.

Yeah, the refresh rates are the same in my options as me desktop. The thing is though, it's every game that does it, not just one. I have them all set with the same settings for resolution and refresh rate, but nothing. Any idea how i can make the game not rescale it?

  6. Force in directx one native video mode?

Btw please check video mode that is sent to TV by games - most of TV's can display basic paramters like resolution and framerate.

    How would I do that?

And im not too sure what you mean check what video mode is sent to tv's. How do i check this?

Edit- if you're asking me to check if my tv is in 1920x1080, i'm pretty sure it is. It's in 1080p when my computer outputs to it

  8. In most TV's - press OK or Info button on RCU, if this is a PC monitor - usually info is somewhere in Menu (OSD) screen
