  1. Hi,

I've burned a cd to play in the car but the car cd player won't play it properly. Strange thing is, it plays perfectly on other players in the house.

I can't tell whether the problem is the quality of the blank cd I've used or the software itself (tried both Nero and Media Player). I don't think it's the car cd player, as it plays other stuff perfectly.

What software is generally considered the most reliable for burning cds?

    Thanks in advance.

ImgBurn is the best burner available....and it's free.....and yes it also burns audio CDs.

How OLD is the CD-player in your car

FWIW, certain players were designed to deal with *pressed discs* only, and sometimes/often they have problems with detecting/playing burned CDs ( the very-old ones don't support CD-RWs at all ).

  5. Hi all,

Thanks for the tips. I reburned with Img Burn using Hech's link and got an error message along the way.

Anyway, it plays perfectly in the car, so problem solved!
