    Hi everybody


    I am having trouble installing a HP Laserjet 1300 on my Windows 7 64 bit computer via network.

    The printer itself is connected via USB on a Windows XP 32 bit pc. The "adding printer" wizard finds the printer but can't install it. I installed the Win7 x64 driver from HP Support but can't get it to work. Any ideas?

    Install the printer as though directly connected. Then change the port to the shared printer UNC path, such as \\PC1\printername.
