Hi everybody,
For a future project I tried re-encoding a ntsc dvd-stream with x264 in MultiAVCHD.
Input was 720 x 480 aspect ratio 4:3 (from dvd-image mounted)
In the title-properties window of MultiAVCHD it says 720 x 480i (1.78) This is 16:9 AR?
In the transcodewindow I left "Resize" to default: 720 x 480 (no change)
No uncropping.
After transcoding my output is 16:9.
I checked the original dvd VOB's with mediaInfo and it definitely says 4:3. Somehow MultiAVCHD thinks the dvd is 16:9 anamorphic, my guess. The "alter detected properties" has no possibility to change AR.
Does somebody have an idea?
Thanks
Ennio
Edit: sorted it out, I had to resize to 720 x 480 (4:3) Didn't see it. Strange though why it says 1.78 it the 1st place...
