  1. Hello All...

    I am converting a DivX I was given by a friend to SVCD.

    I am using the LSX MPEG Encoder Guide and have come across a hitch.

    When it comes to the point where I click to begin encoding (BTW I have followed all the instructions to the letter) This error message pops up

    And then its creates an M2v file less than 5MB big.

    Can anyone help?

    I have also extracted the sound from this DivX to a Wav File because another error msg pops up about the audio stream is unsupported. I plan to multiplex the video and audio files.

  3. See if this is of any use:

    It might be no help at all (in which case you are not any worse off).
    As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. you need to paste your parameters. the error is a good start but need to see your parameters to know WHY you are getting errors. anyways..

    svcd ==

    ~2600 kbps for video max and 224 kbps max for sound.. i usually keep my files well under that... if your video is vbr you'll probably shoot for 2300 as the highest average but the peaks must not be higher than 2600

    it has to be either (ntsc) 29.97 fps or 23.976fps-3:2'd up to 29.97. some players will play it at pure 23.976 but its not spec. 25 fps PAL

    480x480 NTSC 480x576 PAL(or something like that.. im ntsc

    the audio and video must be joined in a special way for svcd as well.. anyways.. the lsx encoder should handle this step fine
